The Publication Group serves as nerve centre of the Institute, conducting and coordinating multifarious activities for dissemination of Institute’s R&D information, handling scientific and technical enquiries, publicity and public relations etc.

ACTIVITIES OF PUBLICATION GROUP

  • CBRI Annual Report– a reflection of the Institute’s achievements throughout the year including R&D projects and highlights, research output, glimpse of activities, honors and awards, CBRI family, student-scientist connect programmes, lectures delivered, technology transferred and MoU signed, date-line and information, extension and project management etc – to meet the inter and intra-institutional information needs.
  • Monthly e CSIR-CBRI Newsletters – a glance at the Institute activities including R&D outputs, training programmes, research publications, technology transfer, MoU signed, events, staff news etc on quarterly basis in Hindi and English.
  • Building Research Notes- the technical details of a developed know-how or technology of the Institute’s R&D achievements, to demonstrate the reliability and excellence of the work for public and the consumer agencies etc.
  • Technical, Information, Divisional Brochures and Single-Sheet Project Profiles – a presentation of Institute’s R&D work, knowledgebase, technologies, group/division wise specific output, facilities and Institute achievements in a sustainable, cost-effective and simple way supplemented with info-graphics to make them informative.
  • Preparation of Scientific/Technical Reports, reporting scientific and technical work carried out at the Institute in Hindi and English and filling up of questionnaires etc., to enhance awareness amongst sponsors and user agencies.
  • Handling Technical Enquiries on different materials/technologies/processes developed by Institute in different areas.
  • Regular inputs for highlights ofInstitute achievements in CSIR Publications– CSIR Annual Report, CSIR News, CSIR Samachar and CSIR in Media – to publish them alongside the achievements and media coverage of all the dynamic national laboratories, outreach centres, innovation complexes and units of CSIR.
  • Interaction with other R&D organizations by way of projecting Institutes’ achievements in their publications, National and International Conference Proceedings, Souvenirs etc.
  • Press Publicity of Institute’s R&D achievements for acquiring multifarious gains and awareness at the National and International pedestal.
  • Publicity of the Institute’s capabilities through Print & Electronic Media – to generate scientific consciousness and acceptance of new technologies among masses- by maintaining continuous dialogue with regional and national newspapers to witness Institute presence on regular basis.
  • Liaison with Media through Press Meets organized periodically, with participation of press representatives from various electronic and print media houses, to apprise the public on the latest achievements of the Institute, important events and to broaden their horizons in the field of science.
  • Collate a list of Institute Publications (BRNs, Single Page Project Profiles, Technology Brochures, Information Brochures and Division/Group Brochures) for dissemination.
  • Collate Institute’s Research Output– list of Research Papers published by Institute scientists in foreign and national journals, papers presented in conferences/workshops, papers in reputed magazines, book chapters and reviews etc for Annual Report.
  • Regular Inputs to Institute Website for wide dissemination of information regarding Institute R&D activities and achievements.
  • Collaborations with Educational Institutes special focus to remote, rural, central and state government schools, to help students connect with a research-based environment from a young age and mentoring young minds is an integral part of scientific social responsibility, through training programmes, workshops, lectures, visits, exhibitions motivational talks and hands on experiments etc.
  • Articles on CSIR-CBRI Technologies in Popular Science Magazines– including नवसंचेतना, वैज्ञानिक, NCHF Bulletin, निर्माणिका, Current Science, भारतीय वैज्ञानिक एवं औद्योगिक अनुसंधान पत्रिका, Everyman’s Science, विज्ञान प्रगति, Science Reporter, विज्ञान वाणी etc – most widely available on-line, accessible to everyone.
  • वैज्ञानिक ज्ञान के प्रसार और भारत सरकार के राजभाषा अधिनियम के निर्देशों के अंतर्गत हिंदी को आधिकारिक भाषा के रूप में उपयोग करने के लिए- हिंदी भाषा में विभिन्न प्रकाशन- जैसे त्रैमासिक सीबीआरआई भवनिका, वार्षिक प्रतिवेदन, भवन अनुसन्धान लेख, परियोजना प्रोफाइल, तकनीकी और विभागीय ब्रोशर, हिंदी में वैज्ञानिक लेख, सीएसआईआर समाचार, समाचार पत्रों में हिंदी समाचार, रोचक तकनीकी व्याख्यान, प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आदि किये जाते है। हिंदी भाषा में प्राप्त सभी पत्रों का उत्तर हिंदी में तथा अधिकांश आधिकारिक कार्य भी हिंदी अथवा द्विभाषी रूप में संपन्न किये जाते है।
