- Alternative aggregates: Alternative and sustainable aggregates such as recycled materials from C&D waste, coal bottom ash, steel slag, copper slag, mine tailings, e-waste, crushed rock, foundry etc;
- Innovative and Sustainable Concrete: Ultra high performance concrete (UHPC), hybrid fibre reinforced concrete, Basalt fibre reinforced concrete, Pervious concrete, Reactive powder concrete, Self-consolidated concrete (SCC), Geopolymer concrete (GPC), Recycled aggregate concrete, AAC and Foam concrete
- Distress Diagnosis & Strengthening of Structures: Development of newer diagnostic techniques and rehabilitation strategies for structures, newer repair materials and systems,
- Waste to wealth: Valorisation of agro-industrial waste, C&D waste processing for building products, Steel slag valorisation, Development of graphene oxides, Carbon sequestration to resource materials and products
