    • 2 day Course conducted for Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO on “Fire Protection in Built environment”.
    • Three national level Short Term Courses which educated the participants from different institutions, corporations etc. about various aspects of fire safety in buildings, which will result in institutional buildings being made safer.
    • “Design of Fire Protection Measures” attended by about 50 participants from all over India (Sept 2023)
    • “Design of Fire Protection Systems for Vital Installations & Buildings” for officers of state fire services, DMRC, hospitals of national importance, Oil companies, builders etc. 75 officers was enriched with adequate knowledge resulting in enhancement of fire safety in buildings in their organization thus affecting safety of thousands of people especially in densely populated buildings like hospitals. It was worth noting that doctors from all AIIMS across the country attended this course. (March 2019)
    • “Design of Fire Protection Systems for Mass Housing and Infrastructure Projects: A Practical Approach & Case Studies” attended by about 50 participants from different state fire services, DMRC, hospitals of national importance, Oil companies, builders like DLF, Godrej, etc. (Sept 2018)
    • 25 CPWD Officers were educated on Fire Safety Engineering and Auditing in Built Environment during 3 day NIDM training Program on “Disaster Management Plan for CPWD Engineers”
    • 35 Officers of Ordinance factories during short term course at National Academy of Defense Production, Nagpur
    • 40 Officers of Taj Group of Hotels in India and abroad were trained on “Design of Automatic Sprinkler System” and “Understanding codes for Life Safety Components” during “Special Course in General Prevention and Fire Fighting” conducted by Goa State Fire & Emergency services

Professional Experience:
About 25 Yrs. In Fire Safety Science & Engineering

About 25 years of experience in Research & Development and education in India. I joined Fire Research laboratory of Central Building Research Institute, a constituent of Council of Scientific & industrial Research, the premier industrial R& D organization in India in 1999. Handled both CSIR & Industry sponsored research and consultancy projects in last 23 years. Experience in education includes teaching at IIT, Roorkee and Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research, an ‘Institution of National Importance’ to Post Graduate students.

Recognized expert in providing consulting services in fire modelling, design of fire protection systems and fire safety auditing of complex buildings such as hospitals, institutional and business complexes and industries. Authored two books on “Understanding Standards / Codes for Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems in Buildings – Basics / Design Guidelines”, and “Design of Fire Safe Buildings – Understanding and Using NBC Provisions” and more than 30 papers in International and National Journals and Conferences.
