Communication Network architecture for intelligent buildings
Task Leader:- Kota Solomon Raju
Objective:
- Design and development of a communication, safety & security system with RTOS support for Intelligent Buildings. It includes Design of FPGA and /or ARM processor based communication system for the entire building using wireless technology. WSN System with sister labs developed sensors and commercial sensors for minimum twenty flats in the apartment building. (i.e. combination of sister labs sensors and commercial sensors from CGCRI, Kolkata, CSIO Chandigarh and CMERI Durgapur).
- Development of Sensor placement optimization (optimization parameters are Energy and data communication latency) algorithm.
- Design and implementation of the end-device zigbee motes with desired sensor attachment.
- PCB designed prototype system for end device using ARM processor /microcontroller as main component.
Scope of Work:
- Exploration & Planning of various Hybrid Network Architectures
- Development of Sensor placement optimization algorithm
- Design & implementation of End-device Zigbee Motes with desired sensor attached to it
- Integration of Zigbee Sensor Motes with identified Topology
- Design & Implementation of Centralized Network Monitoring System with capability of integrating other subsystems
- Design & Implementation of ARM based Centralized Network Monitoring System
- Design & Implementation of ARM based Centralized Network Monitoring System with RTOS support
- Design & Implementation of High performance FPGA based Centralized Security System with Biometric identification system at the main building
- Integration of all other subsystems to the above system at the main building
- Integration of 3-tier layered architecture (Zigbee, WLAN, Internet) with above system
- Testing of Centralized system with all the technologies integrated & Documentation
