On November 24, 2024, CSIR-CBRI, Roorkee successfully inaugurated the National Earthquake Engineering Test Facility (NEETF) and 3D Concrete Printing Facility, first-of-their-kind in India, in the presence of Shri K. Srinivas, Secretary, MoHUA.
NEETF enables full-scale seismic testing of buildings up to 12m height under reverse cyclic and pseudo-dynamic loading, enhancing research on earthquake safety and retrofit technologies. The 3D Concrete Printing Facility focuses on eco-friendly, cost-effective construction using agro-industrial waste and advanced rheological design.
