Professional Experience:

19th March’98 – till date: Scientist, CSIR-Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee

Initiated and have been engaged in several research and consultancy projects on development alternative building materials including repair materials and corrosion studies. The research works are focused on utilisation of industrial wastes like fly ash, paper industry waste and renewable resources like natural fibres, agro-forestry by-products and others, such as cathodic protection of concrete structures. In addition to these projects, actively engaged in testing & characterisation of building materials, health monitoring of building structures and setting up new laboratory test facilities.

In addition to the above teaching and guiding MTech/PhD students of AcSIR Since 2011.

July’87- March’98: Associated with RRL (Now CSIR-AMPRI), Bhopal

R&D works mainly related to natural fibre reinforced polymer composites, sisal cement roofing sheets, and clay fly ash bricks and other green building materials. My additional responsibilities included testing & characterization of building materials using state-of-the-art equipment including Non-Destructive Techniques (NDT).

May’84 – July’87: Associated with M.S. Tolay, Civil Engg. Consultants, Chhindwara

Works included designing, drawing, estimation and execution of residential & industrial buildings, water supply & sewage schemes and other civil engineering structures.
